Weather Widget FAQ

How can I get help or send feedback?

Does Weather Widget work in my country?

Yes!  Weather Widget should work globally.  It uses Forecast.io as its weather source, so if you can find weather at http://forecast.io/ for your location, Weather Widget should work fine.

Is Weather Widget translated into my language?

Currently Weather Widget is only available in English.  However, the app will automatically localize the days of the week for your current language.  The setup page is in English, but you should see all the properties of the actual widget in your native language.

Does Weather Widget support Celsius and Fahrenheit?

Yes!  You can toggle it inside the app.

What is coming soon?

Version 1.2 includes (currently in review):
- View the current weather, not just the high and low for each day, in the widget.
- Fix the bug where sometimes the icons show up as black instead of white.

Coming in a future version
- iPad UI
- Localization in new languages!

Let us know what else you'd like to see implemented!

  1. I live in Finland, right now the weather only shows 2mrw, is it possible for you to show the weather Right Now just as from Forecast.io?
It is a bit annoying when there is no "right now" weather :(

    1. Uh oh. That is no good. Let me do some testing in different timezones and see if I can figure out whats going on. The intended behavior is that it shows Today and the next 4 days at any given point in time. I'll try to fix this in the next update!

    2. Can you tell me what timezone and what city you're trying to track? I'm using the widget right now for Helsinki in Eastern European Time Zone (UTC+02:00) and its showing me today's weather.

  3. On the new update many of the weather icons in the NC are black (they should be white to remain legible). #bug

    1. Oops! There is a bug with Xcode 6 that caused some of the icons to render incorrectly for some users. This has been fixed in 1.2 and I submitted the updated version last Wednesday. As soon as Apple approves it, it'll be fixed. Sorry about that!

  4. I also see an issue with 1.1. Some weather icons (like sun) are black instead of white white. Please fix in the next update.
